artist’s statement
Conversations with Life
My visual language reflects the traditions of Art Nouveau, the retro aesthetics of the book, and the Japanese principle of awa — the beauty of the subtle and the vanishing. Muted tones, a sense of air filling the space, as well as the blurring of the image and its inner radiance, when the object reveals itself to us in a way we are not accustomed to seeing — these are the distinctive features of my artistic style.
At the core of my practice lies an interest in the unconscious, intuition, dreams, and the spiritual dimension of human life.
